At Underwater Basket Weaving University (UBWU), we’re constantly amazed by the success stories flooding in from our graduates. It seems our unique degree isn’t just making waves – it’s making millionaires! At least, that’s what some of our alumni are telling us. Are these tales of aquatic affluence too good to be true? We’re not sure, but we’re certainly enjoying the ride!
Annual Salary of $2.5 Million
Take, for example, the story of Bubbles McSplash, class of 2023. Bubbles claims that within months of graduation, he secured a high-paying job as a “Subaqueous Artisanal Consultant” for a luxury submarine manufacturer. His specialty? Crafting bespoke storage solutions for billionaires’ underwater pleasure cruises. Bubbles reports an annual salary of $2.5 million, plus benefits (including a state-of-the-art personal submarine).
$10 Million Last Year Alone
Then there’s Marina Reefer (no relation to our founder), who says she’s made her fortune by cornering the market on “Eco-Friendly Mermaid Habitats.” Using techniques learned in our program, Marina creates underwater living spaces for the burgeoning “professional mermaid” industry. She claims to have netted over $10 million last year alone.
Somewhere North of Seven Figures
Not to be outdone, Finn Gillwater (yes, that Finn Gillwater) reports that he’s parlayed his degree into a lucrative career as a “Hydro-Horticultural Engineer” for a major aquarium chain. His underwater kelp gardens, woven into intricate baskets, are apparently all the rage among high-end fish enthusiasts. Finn coyly refuses to disclose his exact salary but hints it’s “somewhere north of seven figures.”
Our Graduates Share All
Are these stories true? We honestly have no idea. For all we know, Bubbles could be living in his parents’ basement, Marina might be running a small Etsy shop selling seashell necklaces, and Finn could still be that same marine education specialist we quoted in our brochure.
But here’s the thing – we absolutely love hearing these tales of underwater triumph! Whether they’re 100% factual or as murky as the bottom of a kelp forest, these success stories bring joy to our waterlogged hearts. They remind us why we started this program in the first place: to give people the opportunity to dive into their dreams, no matter how absurd they might seem to others.
